Ssangyong, also known as Ssangyong Motor Company, is a South Korean automobile manufacturer founded in 1954 and headquartered in Seoul (South Korea). Ssangyong was for many years, and especially in its early years, the first automobile manufacturer in the country. Ssangyong specializes in manufacturing trucks. It was absorbed by the Hadongwahn Motor group.
